Cold in the morning?

This morning, we finally had some overcast skies.. It has gotten very hot here and not cooled off in the evenings.. So, when we woke up and started breakfast, Emma was like I'm cold!! I had just come back from walking Xena for our morning walk and gave her my sweatshirt. She was hamming it up and looked tooooo cute. So, photo op, of course she wouldn't look at me and open her eyes.. Brat. I got her later today though at Legoland. (those to come).

Vacation?

Well, my week of vacation started out fine. We are working on the potty training (Girls are harder than boys) I ended up teaching on Tuesday, Seaworld on Wed. and today we are headed to Legoland.. The kids.. yes, they are finally slowing down. Last night I made them ride bikes and walk the dogs (with Larry I was beat) while Emma and I finished laundry and getting things ready to pack for everyone to leave this weekend. It was nice and quiet in the house. I think everyone was asleep by 9pm... we were all TIRED!! Remember, we take to extra little kids with us each time we go some where.. (daycare). I will post photos soon, but I am ready to go to my mom's house for some R&R!! :)

Green Hair

Okay, so maybe I will hear about this later.. but, I am sending Toby home with green hair. I got the spray and the gel to spike it. He asked for green hair and was told no at home.. I said, baby I will send you home with green hair.. bummer it will wash out in the first shower.. but none the less, I have spiked his hair to go see Harry Potter, the store, outside, etc. He loves it!! What a ham!

USS Midway

Larry couldn't wait to take the boys to the USS Midway. On Sunday afternoon- it was boy time. I had no desire to go up and down and see ships (having been deployed on one of these many moons ago) So, Emma and I went shopping, while the boys and went and saw AIRPLANES!! I got three text from him while he was there.. "I am sooo bringing your dad here next time". The boys had a blast!!

No, we don't normally do sodas, but Toby loved this root beer
I am still so sad to know the man and woman in this famous photo never married.

Beach

So we decided to head to the beach for the 4th of July. We met all our great friends from 29 at San Onofre. It was a lot of fun. the boys stayed on the beach, and Emma and I headed home. Mainly cause 8 months pregnant and using the bathroom all night at the beach was not my idea of fun. And, the dogs had their dark organs taken out (they both got spade). So, I did the nursing at home and came during the day to visit everyone. it worked out great, and I think the boys had a blast. Toby made fast friends, and Zack.. well, he was Zack. Emma just loved to have the waves chase her and played in the sand all day.. (YUCK!!)I thought they were going to hurt themselves on these cheese balls...
Toby and his friend Leaf.. they played for hours!

Happy 4th of July!!

Legoland Summer 09

Okay- many people think Larry and I are crazy. We have three kiddos with one on the way- Larry bless him, also watches two little kids one almost three (October same b-day as Zack) and an 18 month old little girl. Well, when I was post call (up for 24 hours and off the next day) we decided to hit Legoland. Mainly because it wouldn't be crowded on a Tuesday, and we promised the kids we would take them. Now, we don't have a season pass, but the base has the best deals on tickets, and yes, we are going again next week. The kids had a blast (minus Carter who hates water). It was a lot of fun.. so much so, that I took over 400 photos.. Holy Cow! Here are some... Toby on the train
Zack on the train- you know that boy loves trains!!

Toby playing in the water
All the little ones at the starfish area - GENTLE Touches!!
I thought Zack and Toby were going to Die when this coooool shark swam overhead in the new aquatic area in Legoland. I can hardly wait to go to Seaworld next week as well!

Yes, they are real jellyfish.. the kids thought they were soooo cool.

Soccer Camp 2009

Okay- I gave Larry the camera- and I had the book as I was reading at night to figure out all the gadgets and gizmo's.. Needless to say, many of the photos are dark.. but some turned out great. Plus, give the guy credit, he had three other little kids on the sidelines to keep entertained. (his daycare kids) I am still not sure why everyone thinks we would have 6 kids under the age of 6.. ?? all within 6 months of each other? Anyhow, the kids had a blast, and Zack sort of participated.. It was hard and he was a little overwhelmed. Maybe the end of the summer he will do a little better? Toby was like c-ya I am all over this. He sooooo wants to do it again the end of the summer. :( Emma is ready for next year.. watching those boys and ready to run out on the field.
Toby walking off the field! Almost had a goal!

AWHONN- 2009

It was a very long week after working in 29 Palms. I then headed to the Convention Center in San Diego- I worked the host committee and we had a blast. We also had our Armed Forces Section conference that was the entire day. The only perk, was I got to hang out with two amazing women, Bre and Robin. I love them dearly, and they made the week fly by. Very pregnant. Nothing like hanging out with beautiful sexy women when you are 8 months pregnant, but Robin, God bless her -gave me an amazing foot/hand rub. Gotta love midwives. I felt Divine after!
My great friends Anna and Tonya were at the convention learning and networking
(aren't they beautiful)

Bre- my roommate for the week.. ask her about her eye.. I still laugh.. very comical and she kept it covered with her hair.. always the stylist. She could look sexy in a paper bag!

We took Robin out for her 40th birthday. I want to be as in good of shape as she is when I am 40. She runs every day and if I seriously had her figure, I would walk around naked! :) She is amazing, thoughtful, kind and a lot of fun. She is a true friend, and a great listener.. And she got promoted to LT COL this week!!!

The girls and I at the piano bar. It was a lot of fun!
On to work. We had a lot of vendors and a lot of people attend the Armed Forces section. We were very pleased with the turn out!
the gang (great group of girls)
My dear friend and co-teacher Barb. She is in San Diego and was chair of the host committee. She is an amazing nurse with a heart of gold.
