1st day of School

I am a little late with this, but if you know my life, you totally know why. It's been a little crazy thus far. But, here they are! First day of school. They did GREAT!

Anniversary Weekend

So this was the temperature in 29 Palms the last two weekends. Yes, that is right.. and this is my list. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a list person. I LOVE to cross things off once they are done...so we (Larry, myself and the kiddos) last weekend and this past weekend were up fixing our house for the next renter..... total of 34 hours in this heat....and this is what we got done.. did I also mention it was our anniversary?? Had to cancel an alone weekend to Catalina to do this list... :(

• Paint the deck
• Replant the planters in the deck
• Paint the office (was bright red) now it's bright white
• Paint the hall
• Paint the master bedroom
• Paint the upper portion of the first bedroom and repaint the chair rail
• Touch up paint living room and kitchen
• Replace light covers in kitchen
• Replace toilet seat master bath
• Replace ceiling fan in first bedroom
• Clean all blinds
• Replace outlets to be white not off-white
• Fix back window
• WD40 the back slider and garage door
• Cut down the branches out front on the fig and other trees
• Replant the roses/dig up dead ones and get rid of the snail vine
• Fix the drip line
• Fill back planters with soil
• Replace all light bulbs in office and bathrooms
• Magic erase all door jams
• Murphys soap all the kitchen cabinets and main door to garage
• Clean out stuff left in the garage
• Drink lots of water
• kiss the kids and make sure they are having fun in their portable pool, coloring and skateboarding...
• try and stay cool
• think of why we stayed here for 3 years and whoever thought to settle here?? WOW!!

Whew.. are you as tired, sore and cut up as we are... :)

Ok.. have to admit...

This is a rather scary thing.. I know they are not the best photos. The one of Zack was scanned and the one of Reilly, I could not get her to sit still and do this face again for my camera. But, it was a blast from the past. WOW!! I lost almost all of Zack's baby photos and only have copies, and have what I have on file so, forgive the scanning. I just had to share these photos. I think she totally looks like her brother. And she has blue, blue, blue eyes darker than her sister.
