Friday night, we try to do movie night. It just depends on how the day goes. I would love to do it on Sat. night when we are all home, but we are all usually exhausted so it doesn't happen! :) This week we did Friday night. The kids nuggled up and watched a movie. Yes, it is still Mamma Mia or Little Mermaid. This time we spiced it up and watched Peter Pan or as Zack would say it's Hook not Peter Pan. Yes, they polished off the entire bowl of popcorn as well! Thankfully, we have the robot to clean the floor at bedtime.

Saturday afternoons
I usually get home around 3 pm in time for naps to be over and spend quality kid time. The weather has been beautiful, and the kids have been playing outside (AMEN). So, it was so funny to get some snapshots of them playing around.

Busy Busy Busy
So, the last 5 days, I have been cameraless and husbandless. So, last night, when Larry came home, I was thrilled. It's so hard to do everything and be everything to small children all day.. whew.. I am tired! I kept them busy, hair cuts, the park, church, grocery shopping, books, playground.. etc. they were also glad to see their daddy though! So we celebrated lent tonight with pancakes!! YUMMM!! The kids loved them!

My future Doctors or Midwives??
So, we have our National conference coming up in June. Because I am teaching a lot, my weekends usually only leave me with Sunday off. It is a time that I enjoy and relish, especially when it is raining and cold (yes East coaster at heart) So, I tried to catch up on our fundraisers-- stirrup covers for our exam tables and scrub hats. Zack loved helping me sew. He is liking the machine more than I think the actual sewing part.. He sooo wants to push all the "fancy" buttons. My first attempt was still a little to small. Great for a small head, like the kids!! They loved to show them off. (or even maybe a guy.. if they are secure in their masculinity) Note to self, bigger circle. So, hopefully, I will get better with the next one when I go bigger!!
Rain Rain Rain
So, lately the rain inundated out backyard. It tends to flood as it is all down hill into our little cement area. We had to put the carpets up over the fence to dry them out.. and then the kids thought it would be great fun to play in the mud!! YUCK!! We had to put all the gardening things up and stack it on the table..

Crinkle
We have been really blessed that none of our kids took to the pacifier. They breastfed forever, maybe that was the blessing? Toby has George his monkey, and Zack kind of has some blankets. (neither really freaks if they don't have it) But, Emma-- oh Emma. She has gotten hooked on her Crinkle. Had I known, I would have bought 10. It stinks after 3 days. She rubs it on her face, under her nose, carries it with her and looks for it when she gets into trouble. We have tried to limit her use/access, but then it seems really mean.. did it really hurt Linus? We have bought several other crinkles, and I tried to sneak it into the wash the other day. Needless to say, with our dryer troubles it was not dry by bedtime. She threw a fit. So, wet crinkle made its way back into her bed. I am reminded by my mom about my gross blanket, and the very small remnant she gave to me.. it was also gross. But, I have great memories of it, and hopefully so will Emma. I am just really glad I know how to sew to fix it.. once it is clean and doesn't stink.. It really is awful.. but, she could care less.. It's her crinkle.

Happy V-Day
Okay- so I totally dislike this holiday.. It is so crazy to send those you love flowers, cards, etc. on one day only throughout the year.. But, a great blogger Kristen had this amazing photo, and I totally copied it today. She is right too, they need to be cake like brownies or they just fall.. And, I made them for my favorite CNM CAPT Vann who happens to have a birthday today. So, I had to go with the theme cause you gotta love cute stuff.. I only bought one pan, and ran out of time last night due to Larry's birthday.. (the first two weeks of Feb. kick my butt with b-days and anniversaries) hence just a few.. I made the rest in a pan and frosted them for all the amazing nurses I work with!! So, thank you Kristen!! They were a hit!! :) And way cute if you ask me..

Dinner
So, Larry and I are trying very hard to get the kids to eat veggies. We say you have to at least try it, if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it. And, then there of course is no dessert. And we have to preface that with no cookies, no ice cream, no m&m's, no fruit snacks, no cereal, no nothing..... We have tried all types of hiding the food, tried Seinfeld... (yeah right) they will eat cauliflower, and sometimes raw carrots.. fruit no sweat!!
And, you would think our dinners were awful.. Fried chicken, potatoes with cheese and veggies?? Do you think they ate that? NO!!!!!

What Child Of Mine
Okay- my mom hates used things. We (my sister and I) have kind of changed her mind. We get her to the garage sales, we get her to look on Craig's list, ebay, etc. She has done great. But, she hates used clothes. My kids grow soooo fast. And, with two boys and little Emma romping with them, my clothes go fast as well. So, I love this store "What Child Of Mine". I get used kids clothes in amazing condition, from Gap, Gymboree, Child's Place, Pottery Barn for a STEAL. I asked Rachel, and she said little Quinn needs summer clothes 2 yrs old next week (where does the time go?) (sorry to spoil, but you can have your pick Ray). So, we stopped in. I got 6 pairs of shorts, 4 skorts, 5 dresses, 2 rompers, 2 shirts for Toby, 3 shirts, 3 pants/capris for... drum roll.. $38.00 They were all brand name, and in amazing condition. Where else could you do that?
Emma and Her Lovies
Again, Emma totally cracks me up, she brought out every stuffed animal, and happily gave them to daddy while they watched Diego before bed. Larry was covered, and I could not resist the photo op. She has become a bear to photograph, much like Zack did for the last year. Now, he is a photo ham and she is my bear.. errr.. kids.
WEEK OF FRUSTRATION
No blinking lights means no internet!!
So, we have become so dependent on the internet, that when it is down for a week, frustration is your new best friend...we had not one not two THREE techs out to fix it.. I was foaming at the mouth. Mainly because I lost communication with so many great friends, have kind of gotten addicted to the whole blog thing.. :) and well, I don't like it when things don't work.

Emma
The kids wanted to help.. Again, Emma cracked me up!
Later in the day, I hit the front garden. Even though we live on base, we tend to the front gardens pretty well. Larry did the side one when we moved in, and now we are tackling the front. Our organic cold garden out back is in as well, but not doing so great (photos later).
Emma is so funny. She is such a snuggler- she loves to laugh, she has the most infectious giggle. She is so funny to watch all the time. Since the day she was born, she has had no hair. No, my rotten sister got all the hair with her daughter (not fair). So, Emma's hair has slowly been growing in. I can do pig tails, but that is it. Recently it's getting longer so I really have to attack it in the morning. Today after her nap, she was wild woman. I just looked at her and laughed..
